Dr.N.Loganathan

He was trained by Prof.Randeep Guleria [formerly Director of AIIMS, New Delhi and formerly Head, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at AIIMS,New Delhi], Prof.G.C.Khilnani , [formerly Director of AIIMS, New Delhi and formerly Head, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at AIIMS,New Delhi], Dr.Anant Mohan [Head, Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine at AIIMS,New Delhi], Dr.Karan Madan and Dr.Vijay Hadda. During his training period, he was trained well in various interventional pulmonology procedures at AIIMS, New Delhi.

After his DM training he served as Assistant Professor in the department of Pulmonary Medicine at PSG Institute of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore and later moved to Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore and currently working as the Senior Consultant and Interventional Pulmonologist at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore since 2016. He has utmost passion in clinical patient care services and academics. At Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore at present he is involved in outpatient and inpatient care, critical care services & Interventional Pulmonology services.

Dr.N.Loganathan is the invited speaker to various local, regional, national & international conferences. He participates in debates in many CMEs / Seminars / Conferences. He published many papers in various indexed journals.

He was involved in the formulation of various national guidelines like national bronchoscopy and EBUS guidelines. He is the clinical club coordinator, Ethics Committe Member, editorial board member of News Letter at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore. He is also involved in teaching DNB students and paramedical students. He is also the examiner of The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai.

He is involved in organising many medical conferences / CMEs / Work shops and also as resource personnel delivering lectures. He delivers lectures in various IMA meetings constantly. He is being involved in collaborative works in various departments and involved in research activities in addition to patient care services.

Dr.N.Loganathan is a skilled physician, Pulmonologist, clinician who works tirelessly to achieve best possible patient care daily. He has immense knowledge in interpreting patient history to lead to accurate diagnosis to the patient’s presenting complaints and uses the best possible medical technology to the patient care.

He worked day and night during the COVID - 19 pandemic and achieved best patient care outcomes. He is involved in chronic lung disease patient care and has special interest in Pulmonary Rehabilitative services. He has dedicated team members to achieve the above goals. He is also an active member of various medical associations. He has keen interest in patient’s nutritional care, exercise prescriptions, allergy management and adult vaccinations.

Dr.N.Loganathan completed his MD[Medicine] from government Stanley medical college, Chennai & was trained by well-known renowned physicians in various disciplines of Internal Medicine. He was trained by renowned stalwarts in various branches of general medicine. He had actively participated in dedicated patient care and academics under the guidance of Prof.S.Shivakumar.

He had attended many CMEs, Workshops, conferences during his Internal Medicine training. He presented many papers during the above period. Dr.N.Loganathan actively participated in teaching too at his MD training programme at Govt.Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He received Niyamatullah nephrology award of South India, Certified for outstanding performance in clinical cardiology, won prize in the professor N.Madanagopalan gold medal examination in medical gastroenterology during MD [Medicine] training period.

Dr. N.Loganathan won “ Young Investigator” Award of 2008 of Coimbatore city,won Best CPC Award (National level Competition) conducted at Stanley Medical College, Chennai in July 2010 , Scientific committee member for MEDICON 2010 national conference and served as the member of the Student Research Forum, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore and was the Convenor of Journal Club, Dept.of.Medicine, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore while he was working as a faculty at the Department of Medicine, PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research,Coimbatore from 2008 to 2012. During this period he trained MBBS and MD [Medicine] postgraduates. He had actively involved in patient care and academics during this period.

He had attended many CMEs, Workshops, conferences during this period. He had served as guide to medical graduates for their dissertations.He was involved in various Flood relief camps, various medical camps organized by the Lions Clubs and AIDS awareness programmes

He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences in Diabetology from Annamalai University [Distance Education].

He had completed MBBS from Govt. Erode Medical College & Hospital [Formerly IRT Perunthurai Medical College, Perunthurai] affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Chennai & he was declared as the Best outgoing Student & Gold medalist in his undergraduation. He had attended many CMEs, Workshops, Conferences during his MBBS training period.

He presented many papers during the abovesaid period. He had won gold medal in Paediatrics and General Surgery too. Dr.N.Loganathan received Dean’s certificate for obtaining highest total marks in Final MBBS Part II Exam and is also the recipient of the Tamil Nadu Government Transport Minister’s Gold Medal (Twice) during his MBBS training period. He delivered lectures on health awareness and various other medical related topics during his residential training period.

Dr. N. Loganathan was the best going student at his school studies. He is immensely thankful to all his teachers at Government Higher Secondary School, Muthalamada, Palakkad, Kerala. Later he completed his higher secondary education at Government Higher Secondary School, Vettaikaranpudur, Pollachi [Coimbatore], Tamil Nadu. He emerged as victorious from government school and won many prizes in several competitions like in Quiz programmes, recitation & Elocution conducted at district/state levels.

He had involved in social awareness activities of leprosy control programmes during school education. He had participated and won prize in Co-operative Education series conducted by the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Society and All India Radio in 1995. He was involved in School News Reading Section and served as school representative. He was the visiting teacher for taking Biology classes for 12th std students for four years (1998 - 2002).
